Nominations for the 2016 Emmys have been revealed.
Joined by Bruce Rosenblum, chairman and CEO of the Television Academy, black-ish ‘s Anthony Anderson and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life ‘s Lauren Graham announced nominees for the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards during a live broadcast Thursday. The event took place at the new Wolf Theater, located inside the Saban Media Center in North Hollywood.
Jimmy Kimmel , who hosted the ceremony in 2012, will return for another round. “I am excited to be hosting the Emmys again,” he said in a statement. “I have a feeling I’m going to be great.”
When Kimmel booked the gig in March, Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment, called the TV host “the consummate showman,” telling E! News, “With Kimmel at the helm, expect to be at the edge of your seat for a bigger, bolder and better-than-ever Emmy event.”
Kimmel follows Andy Samberg (2015), Seth Meyers (2014) and Neil Patrick Harris (2013).
The Emmys will air live from L.A.’s Microsoft Theater on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.
