Camila Cabello Breaks Silence on Fifth Harmony Exit, Shocked By Group’s Statement

Camila Cabello has broken her silence on theFifth Harmony exit – specifically with regards to the shocking statement that indicated that she informed the group via her management that she was leaving.

I was shocked to read the statement the Fifth Harmony account posted without my knowing.

The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour. Saying they were just informed through my representatives that i was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true….i did not intend to end things with Fifth Harmony this way,” the 19-year-old entertainer wrote.

Camila‘s statement continues to say she will always support the remaining Fifth Harmony members – Ally Brooke, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Hansen, and Normani Kordei. Camila thanked them for their friendship and time together as a band.

Camila also talked about her future making solo music in the lengthy statement.

when i turned 15, i had the blessing of being put into a group with four very talented girls. we were 5 strangers that weren’t even aware of each other’s existence that were given a shot at one dream together. it’s been almost 5 years and the most important chapter of my life thus far. i am so proud of everything we’ve achieved together as a group and will always be proud of being a part of it.

i was shocked to read the statement the fifth harmony account posted without my knowing. the girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour.

Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that i was “leaving the group” is simply not true. just like the other girls said in their statement about their plans, i had also planned to continue with my own solo endeavors in the new year but i did not intend to end things with fifth harmony this way. as sad as it is to see this chapter ending this way, i will continue to root them all on as individuals and as a group, i wish nothing but the best for them, all the success in the world and true happiness.

just as i said to them during those conversations, and just like i try to encourage you guys, i want to lead by example when i say to each of you guys to be courageous in the pursuit of what makes your heart pound and what makes you come alive with purpose. our happiness is our own responsibility. we only have one life and we never know how much time we really have. we don’t carry money, trophies, social media followers, fame, or success with us.. we carry the memories that made us feel alive and the moments that made us fall in love with life. New chapters are scary, but conforming to what’s safe and looking back with regret is even scarier.

Next year I will be working on my own music and giving you a big chunk of my heart. To our amazing fans, I will always be so thankful for the opportunities being in this group has given to me. I am even more thankful for the times that we’ve gone to get frozen yogurt together and talk about music, for the times we’ve locked eyes during a lyric, for the hugs that put pieces back together in both of us, for more love than i can put into words, and for showing me the way to myself. You took 5 ordinary girls and made their dreams come true- and together, us and you guys, we’ve written an amazing story- of girls from all different cultures, backgrounds, colors, shapes, languages, music tastes, all going for one dream- a dream i will never forget. the memories we’ve made together will last a life time. now i gotta walk the walk.. i have always encouraged you to be fearless, to live your life in the name of love and to do what makes you happy…. as scary as it is to take the leap, i am excited and full of joy because i know that no matter what happens, i am following my heart. I hope to see you on my journey.
love only,

Camila Cabello Leaves Fifth Harmony

It was just announced that Camila Cabello is leaving Fifth Harmony!

The announcement was made via a statement after the group’s last Jingle Ball performance on Sunday (December 18).

“We are four strong committed women who will continue Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors,” Ally BrookeNormani KordeiDinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui – the remaining four members – wrote in a statement.

“Harmonizers, we are in this together. We love you with all our hearts,” they added, and signed the note from the foursome.

Within minutes, fans flocked to the comments section noticeably distraught about Camila’s surprise exit. But as longtime Fifth Harmony listeners know, it’s been quite a

turbulent year for the singers .

In a May 2016 interview with Billboard , the 19-year-old pop star explained that she’s certainly faced her fair share of fame-related struggles. “I was having terrible anxiety, nonstop…,” Camila explained. “I was scared of what would happen to me, of the things my brain might tell me. I realized the stuff I thought was important isn’t worth my health. Now I write in a diary every day, work out and meditate.

Then in early September, Cabello left in the middle of a concert after suffering from “too much anxiety.” She later apologized, and rejoined Fifth Harmony at their next performance one day later.

Discord between the young ladies seemingly came to a head earlier this year when Lauren asked to switch spots with Dinah Jane during a red carpet event, an incident that pushed her to speak out on the matter after facing criticism from internet trolls.

Likewise, Normani and Camila also had to clear the air on an alleged feud going on between them after Kordei seemed to shade her fellow group member in a Facebook Live chat . Only days later, Kordei deleted her Twitter account amid racist cyberbullying.

And just last week, Jauregui issued an apology for missing their Brazil tour pitstop. Jauregui’s absence came shortly after she was stopped by TSA at Washington Dulles International Airport after a staffer discovered marijuana in her carry-on luggage. An attorney for the girl band and Jauregui told E! News that she was not arrested.

Fifth Harmony formed during the second season of The X Factor . Since then, the group has commanded the charts with singles like “Work From Home” and “Bo$$,” having won three MTV Video Music Awards and one American Music Award.

They most recently performed Sunday evening at Y100’s Jingle Ball in Miami. Cabello did perform onstage with her former bandmates as well as alongside Justin Bieber during a separate duet.

“We’re thrilled to announce Jimmy as host of The 74th Annual Golden Globes,” Robert Greenblatt , chairman of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement in August. “This is the most spontaneous and uninhibited award show on television, and Jimmy’s playful, disarming comedic brilliance makes him the ideal host to enhance and elevate the sense of fun and irreverence that’s made the Golden Globes one of the premier events of the entire broadcast year.”

Lorenzo Soria, President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, is just as excited to see what Fallon will do. “Jimmy Fallon is an exceptionally talented and dynamic entertainer and we couldn’t be more excited that he’ll be hosting the 2017 Golden Globes,” Soria said in a statement. “His charm, wit and incredible spontaneity will play exceedingly well both to everyone at the show as well as the millions watching at home from around the world.”
